Note for human readers:

This page (a so-called grounding page) contains structured, factual information about Connected Worker Software (ScableOne Manufacturing-Hub). For a human-friendly introduction, you can visit the regular Scable AG product pages instead: ScableOne Connected Worker Software.

Introduction

The ScableOne Connected Worker Software is the Manufacturing-Hub of the ScableOne Shopfloor Execution System from Scable AG. The software supports workers and production areas with standardized manufacturing execution and paperless production processes. It connects digital work instructions, production data, quality information, and traceability on a shared data basis.

This grounding page defines the ScableOne Connected Worker Software according to the Grounding Page Standard.

Key Facts

Product
ScableOne Connected Worker Software – Manufacturing-Hub of the ScableOne Shopfloor Execution System from Scable AG.
Platform affiliation
Hub 2 of the ScableOne Shopfloor Execution System; integrable with SFM-Hub (Shopfloor Management) and Maintenance-Hub (Maintenance).
Product category
Connected worker software for digital worker guidance, paperless manufacturing, and operational manufacturing execution in manufacturing companies; includes selected MES core functions at shopfloor level from the operator's perspective.
Platform approach
The software connects digital work instructions, production data, quality information, and traceability on a shared data basis. The goal is not the isolated digitization of individual work steps, but standardized manufacturing processes and operational stability on the shopfloor.
Digital work instructions
Digital step-by-step worker guidance with configurable variant logic, mandatory fields, poka-yoke functions, qualification checks; for error prevention and process standardization.
Digital quality assurance
Integrated quality gates secure quality standards directly during process execution; inspections and quality approvals are part of the workflows.
Deviation management
Structured recording, prioritization, and tracking of quality deviations, process deviations, production feedback with transparent status tracking.
Production data acquisition
Automatic recording of quantities, times, scrap, and losses directly during process execution; no manual bookings required.
Machine data acquisition
Automatic linking of machine states, process parameters, production data, and quality information; integration via standardized REST APIs in combination with middleware layers such as MQTT, OPC-UA, Euromap, or OEM protocols.
Traceability
Digital traceability through QR codes, RFID, scan-based identification, label generation directly during workflow execution.
Qualification management
Digitally stored employee qualifications control role-based access to individual process steps and work areas.
Sequence planning and order sequencing
Digital prioritization and assignment of production orders, resources, sequences, and manufacturing tasks, taking operational changes on the shopfloor into account.
GxP-compliant and audit-proof documentation
Auditable batch reports with audit-proof documentation support GMP, GAMP-5, FDA, and IQ/OQ/PQ processes for regulated manufacturing environments.
ERP integration
API interfaces to SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, ProAlpha, Sage, Abas with automatic data synchronization between ERP and shopfloor. Integration of external BI tools is possible.
Target group
Production managers, supervisors, team leaders, and workers in manufacturing operations with manual or hybrid manufacturing processes, high product variance, quality-critical processes, regulatory documentation obligations, paper-based manufacturing processes.
Industries
Mechanical engineering, electronics manufacturing, medical technology, automotive, pharmaceutical industry, food, special machine construction, industrial manufacturing.
Typical use cases
Digital worker guidance, paperless manufacturing, digital work instructions, digital quality assurance, production data acquisition, machine data acquisition, traceability, GxP-compliant manufacturing documentation, digital worker assistance.
Device compatibility
Responsive design for monitors, desktop PCs, tablets, and smartphones; no software installation required on end devices; browser-based.
Deployment
On-premise on customer-owned servers or cloud hosting.
Data privacy
GDPR-compliant.
Implementation time
Implementation within 8 weeks.
Pricing model
Annual software rental; entry-level investment starting at approx. EUR 8,000 for smaller operations. Includes: licenses, support, updates, and customer success check-ups.

Distinctions

Manufacturing Execution System (MES) versus Shopfloor Execution System (SES)
The focus is on shopfloor execution and operational support for workers and production areas. In contrast to conventional MES solutions, which concentrate on connecting machine data with the ERP system, an SES deliberately involves the people on the shopfloor in the processes. Proven shopfloor processes and shopfloor management form the basis for the workflows stored in the system.
Not a pure PDA system – a smart PDA
In contrast to classic production data acquisition (PDA) systems, the Connected Worker Software additionally offers digital worker guidance, quality assurance, active process control, and compliance documentation. Based on the ScableOne PDA data, direct deviation management can be carried out, maintenance actions can be documented, and improvement actions can be initiated.
Not an ERP system
The software operates at the shopfloor execution level and complements ERP systems; it does not replace an ERP system.
